Losing You

Was sick for 3 consecutive days, so I made a video whilst I was bored.

Leave a like or something, keeps me enthused.

I Don't Want To Die

Yet another video. It's somewhat disturbing, but yeah... It's probably not as touching as the first video. But I wanted to do something to occupy my Sunday.

Don't worry, the next video will be a fun one, I promise.

I Feel Invisible

A little video I made. I think it describes my mindset pretty well.

Don't worry, I'm alright :)

Simple Cooking - Chicken Curry

So I figured to make a cooking video (more on the way) to show people that if even me, a seventeen year old, can cook stuff and have it taste good, they can as well. It's primarily for people in my school year, as we're all graduating soon and it's good to have some culinary knowledge before graduation, as many of them will be leaving their homes to move out, or just to simply have a bit of independence instead of waiting for their parents to cook for them.

It's a much better alternative than ordering fast food or take away. Here, take a look.

Life Gets Harder

So had a bit of a down turn in my mood yesterday.

A lot of things happened, but I'm too tired to write about it. It gets harder and harder to push through in life and ignore the external and internal negativity that plagues my mind. I do however, listen to music to help me get through tough times (Which is practically everyday, an iPod will almost be glued to my person 24/7.)

I did make a video to spend my time, however. Have a look see.

Some video making.

So today was the usual, super hot day (thanks Australia!) and there wasn't much going on in class. Almost fell asleep during maths, too. No wonder I fail the subject, haha!

Anyway, I get home and the first thing I do is take a few minutes of footage from Alien vs Predator the game, and dice them up to mash together a nicely edited video.

So yeah, that constituted most of my day. Having some buttered chicken with rice tonight, tastes fantastic. I'm surprised at my own cooking capabilities! I'll probably do a few cooking videos in the future, or maybe Vlogs. I don't know, new to the whole Youtube scene.

I plan to publish a story I've been writing, just onto the blog. If you read this and get a chance to give me feed back on my story, post a comment so I know my efforts aren't in vain :)

Meeting Kevin Rudd

So today the ex-prime minister Kevin Rudd popped down to our school for a visit. We had a chat, asking questions of economic nature. It was pretty cool, though him being a politician and all, every time he opened his mouth it was like an essay entering our heads. Very detailed and succinct answers and the class absorbed it in whole.

Took a few photographs with him and also had a video to put on youtube. That was pretty awesome. He also asked us to show him how to dance Gangnam Style, which was funny. Guess that fad is really catching on.

Short post, not much to type about. I did what I usually do, work out in the morning and stuff.

Granted, today there were a few ego-boosting moments. Met a girl on the streets who asked me to sign a petition, she was flirty and happy that I complied. I only signed the petition because it was Amnesty International, in an attempt to stop the weapon manufacturing in Syria to stop the civil war. I support stuff like Amnesty, so I was happy to sign the petition.

The dominoes lady was also a bit flirty, surprised to see that a seventeen year old lives in a house by himself and also uses a savings card. Just small things like that boost my confidence. Because when you don't ever talk to anyone from days on end, you hang on to any communication you get and relish that moment.

WarZ came out today, and it's a complete disappointment. Primarily because it requires Windows Vista / 7 and I have windows XP, so it's time for a new computer! Luckily I already asked an uncle of mine to build me one. It'll be arriving in a few weeks time.

That about wraps it up. I'll be including more material in my blogs once there are more people viewing it, because I don't want to type all the goodies out and have them unheard / unread :(

Cheers and have a good day,

My First Blog Post - Why I Have Started Blogging

Hey everyone,

I've recently been looking for a way to spend my time relaxing and I thought blogging would be a good start. I like to write a lot, whether it be journals or stories, I do it in my spare time and sometimes even during school to pass time. So let's begin, introductions shall we?

My name is West and I live in Australia. I come from Taiwan, so I'm Asian and all that jazz but I'm no where near stereotypical. I played rugby up until my final year of schooling (this year) and am terribly bad at maths. I'm super tall (almost 2 metres) but am bulky, I love eating and I currently live alone, making my own food, taking care of the house, stuff like that. As all teenagers are, I play a lot of computer games and I generally stick to first person shooters, having played in competitions as well as casual, but I digress.

I'm writing this blog in hopes of having some people stumbling across my posts, getting slightly intrigued and having a gander this way. I don't know what to actually put on blogs, but I'll take the template as something sort of a vlog. You know, tell you about my day and / or week :)

So lets talk about today. I usually stick to a schedule sort of thing, it just helps me keep organised. I went to bed at about 11 PM last night, got up at around 5:30 AM when my dog (a toy poodle) started whimpering in my ear. Time to take her out for a walk. So early in the morning still in my jammies, I grab the lease, hook it on and take Cherry (the dog) out for a walk along the block before returning home. I make my way to the kitchen, set the toast and the rice. Whilst they're cooking and or baking, I brush my teeth and did various morning "duties". I usually leave the rice in the cooker until I need to go to school, that way no rice sticks to the bottom or sides, making it easier to clean the pot.

Some Nutella and toast for breakfast, I wash the plates and change out of my jammies into my singlet. Time for a morning workout. It's the best thing, as it helps clear your nose if you have a stuffy nose, as well as circulates blood around your body to make you more alert and less sleepy. Down on the ground, extra wide push ups to work the pectorals. One... Two... Three.. Four... I do this twenty five times then get up to have a minutes rest. The rice is still cooking. I grab the curl bar out of my closet (it's a huge closet.) and place it on my bed, the safest place to do weights at home in my opinion. I lift 25 kilos, 10 reps. Drop the weight, grab the dumbbells and do another 10 reps of biceps curls per arm. Once that's done, I go back for another 25 pushups. This time however, I have my arms shoulder width apart to work my triceps.

You may be thinking that I'm a jock or someone super buff, but I assure you I'm not. I'm actually quite fat and work out to remain healthy. If I didn't work out I'd be rather obese by now. But anyway, I pack the weights up, oil the pan and cook some pork chops to go with the rice as well as some vegetables. Pack the lunch and off to school.

Let me tell you about how I usually dress. The school I go to is a public private school, Brisbane State High. So we've got uniforms and all that. I usually wear long pants, a jacket (always) and have an iPod nano plugged in with some earphones every day. I listen to music all day long, and this is where the blog gets just a tad bit depressing. If you're happy to leave it at that, don't read on :)

So you see, I'm one of those loner types in the school as I'm very introverted. I listen to an iPod all the time, and the teachers have all allowed me to do so during class. This is because pretty much no one talks to me, except a friend who walks home with me (which I'll get to later.) I'm usually a pretty happy guy, I don't have any anxiety issues or depression, though some people would beg to differ. I'm an intellectual person and am very considerate about other peoples feelings, but of course I've made my fair share of mistakes.

Today is senior video day, so lots of people running around with cameras taking videos of people. I try to avoid them, just because I don't feel like I'm a part of the school, though I should. The problem is, in a school with 2,800 other kids, it's easy to get lost and fall between the cracks. I've fallen between the cracks and so have some other people that I know, we get along just fine, but don't talk nearly as much as friends would. But let's move on with the story.

I'm sitting by myself at lunch, as I usually do eating my rice. My friend walks up and has a chat with me, we get along. His sister is also here, and we have a nice conversation. I can't exactly say I have the hots for my friends sister, but sometimes it feels as though the friendship is more than just mutual. Some signs and stuff, she'd shuffle up real close, hold my arm and stuff like that. But maybe I'm just thinking too much, or am completely oblivious for being so introverted. Love that word.

During economics, we discuss some questions and things of economic nature that we'd ask Kevin Rudd tomorrow, as he's visiting our class (for fifteen generous minutes, wow!). Frankly I couldn't care too much, I'm not as excited as the other people in my class but that may just be my arrogance kicking in. The rest of the day is pretty dull, I do nothing much. On my way home, I'm just outside my front door waving my friend and his sister good bye when she blows a kiss my way. First time, I feel a tingly sensation and head inside my house, brushing it off. I check the mail, sort through various bank notes and bills and stuff. Paycheck in the mail made me a bit happy, $700 earnings yay!

A neighbour of mine drops off dinner for me, as her son goes to the same school as me. So I gladly accept, having a nice bento (basically a rice-packaged lunch with vegetables, meat and rice.) I chow down, listen to some music, start the car to make sure the battery doesn't lay dormant for too long, chat to my internet friends and generally relax. I'm preparing myself for the WarZ release tomorrow. A game that I've pre-ordered and can't wait to get my hands on.

Then, I decided, for no apparent reason, to write this blog. And here we are. It's funny how just a few paragraphs can describe one entire day. Though I could've added more detail, I felt those details were too trivial. Anyway, I'll write another tomorrow. I'll talk more about my life stories rather than my actual day. I think that'd be more interesting.

Cheers.

P.S. I have a cousin named East :)
